Janet Leigh Green

Janet Leigh Green lives in a quiet and quaint golf community in southern Oklahoma with her husband, oilfield production supervisor, Rickey Andrews, and their precocious Border Collie/Aussie mix Bella Bell.

Janet and Rickey met and fell in love when they were in high school and were married in July of 1982, but devastation struck when Rickey was hurt in an oilfield accident. The sweethearts were pulled apart by tragedy early in their marriage but never forgot each other. After living separate lives married to other people, they finally found each other again thirty-eight years later and remarried in July of 2021.

Janet has dreamed of being an author since she began reading full-length novels at the age of six, but her career journey took a different direction until later in life. She appreciates her extensive career in the financial industry but looks forward to her transition into a career as a full-time author. When asked what she does in her spare time, she says, “I sing, dabble at the piano, and I am learning to play guitar. My dad left me his guitar when he died, and I want to fulfill a promise I made to him just before he was called home. Music was special to my dad and me, and he taught me to sing when I was two. I sing at church and practice music whenever I can. I will work hard at music, write some songs, and write scary stories for readers to enjoy!”
